Today, I overheard a conversation about bucket lists. One gentleman said the most beautiful thing. He wants to tell those whom he had fallen in love with that he was in love with them.

It is a small gesture, but I believe that is the most powerful thing you can do.

how long did you live in the dorms of uvic? would you recommend it?

I lived on campus for the first two semesters of my university career, but I got a chance to live in the three styles of buildings there: dorm, apartment, and condo style. Living on campus does really push someone out of their comfort zone, and it is a love/hate relationship. I honestly think that I will be friends with the people I met in first year, and I still am. What I loved is that you’ll be with other people going through the same motions and situations, while forcing someone to grow up so quickly.  My home was at least 3 hours away, and so I really had to become comfortable to who I lived with.

After first and second year, I did have enough of living on campus, and I lived in a home with some beautiful people and has worked out for me. Living on campus was a make it or break it moment, since it can confirm whether or not this school was suited for you. I would recommend living on campus for the first year, and once you’re comfortable with your surroundings, you can go anywhere, really.

Ladies - real ladies - dress to respect themselves. Specifically, the ladies dress up their assets and cover their asses. (Tramps, on the other hand, confuse their asses with their assets.)
