By the added dimensions of HTML5, It allowed the band Arcade Fire to create an interactive and user-friendly music video* that plays on your heartstrings through only a few keystrokes. It is amazing what can happen when a google + chrome experiment becomes viral. It really shows what the internet is capable of. You just don’t watch it, you experience it. I have yet to see anyone use HTML5 that was this creative and with such a good ballad to balance it with. Arcade Fire’s ‘experience’ is a must watch.

I am currently watching “Work of art / Finding the next great artist” season 1 finale. Miles, one of three final contestants subjects himself into his work into the theme of death. He took obscure camera photos of elderly white castle customers, only to find out a few days later that one of his muses have died of old age. His obsession and obscurity of the dialect between his photographs and the critics resonated within the installations and was full of praise.
Although he came in 3rd place, I’m sure you will have a promising and successful career in the art world.
Non, Je Regrette Rien / Edith Piaf
I actually really love Edith Piaf and I knew her before Inception, I thought it sounded like her when I heard the song but I wasn’t quite sure.
She’s got one of the most amazing voices.

The design of each particular character is solely based on that character’s personality and emotional arc as dictated by the script. The style and cut of the clothes worn by each actor is meant to serve the emotional mindset and the physical action of that role. In the case of Eames and Fischer, the style of their clothes helped to bring their characters to life visually and at the same time, use the physical attributes brought by each actor.

Janelle Monae - Faster
Actually this isn’t Miles Davis singing, rather it’s Kenny Hagood.
I awoke the other day, thinking of this song, as it seems the most relevant to my life at the moment. The slow swirls in the bridge allow me to meander on the idea that the dream will…somehow… be true.
Darn that dream, and bless it too. Without that dream I would have you.
Everyone changes. That is a given. Trying to adjust to whatever changes is always rough.
Now don’t get me wrong, ##### is good for you (not as good as the other #####, I would like to think). Finally! someone positive in your life that makes you happy. Your happiness is your #1 priority. I am happy for you, no doubt. Seeing you guys together reminds me why people search for so long to find someone to make them feel like ‘the one’.
But what was taken from that relationship changed the dynamics of the other relationships that you have: us. It’s not in my place (or maybe it is) to tell you that I feel as if our relationship has suffered quite a bit. Other than #####, you have other priorities like the rest of us like school and work, but other than that, I feel like I put forth the effort to include you in activities (sans #####), and I only get a sentence response (that feels more like an excuse), or none at all. When I want to include you in our social events, I try to make it so that everyone is able to compromise and come. You’re not the only one that feels like there is so much on one’s plate, that your appetite for girl time is oblivion. The scarce time on your plate is only left to yourself. We all have full time courses, and jobs to worry about. I want us to leave on a good note before you travel across the ocean and be there for months at a time. I want you to not become a stranger my life.
I am not sending this to you just to be a bitch/asshole/etc… but I am sending this as a close friend. I’m sending this with love and concern. Emma has told me that you’ve sent her (and other close friends) a lengthy email about your current state of mind. I just want to reciprocate how I feel. Whether you feel that or not, I cannot even fathom the idea that we would not be friends beyond this point. I’ve known you for too long to give up on our relationship.
I hope you understand where I’m coming from, and it is not to hurt you. That is not my intention of this at all. I just want our relationship to grow with understanding and contentment.
I miss you,
From #####
Eat: Africa in the slums of Mozambique. Why? to understand food and the culture, you must find the answer to why we eat and how we eat. Eating in one of the poorest countries of the world, you understand the importance of food and would completely change the way we see food and how we eat it. Rationing and eating foods in its natural form would rethink the word: eat.
Pray: My parents always tell me a story from “back in the Philippines” or refer to it as “my homeland”. As though I’ve already have visited twice, I have a gut feeling that I should visit once more. Both my grandparents have been buried there, surrounded by family and friends. Unfortunately, many of us living in Canada were not able to attend. Visiting their graves would be full circle for me. They saw me and birth, and I will pray for them at the cemetery.
Love: Vancouver. Forever and always.
What is your eat, pray, love?
Time is always of an essence in the western world. Time is money. Time is something you never can get back. Time runs out. Never a “time out” for anyone.
Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And secrecy the human dress.
The human dress is forged iron,
The human form a fiery forge,
The human face a furnace seal’d,
The human heart its hungry gorge.
This feeling never really musters around me for too long. I just don’t like the feeling of something that I see as ugly and the Achilles’ heels of any relationship (romantic or not). We don’t call it one of the seven deadly sins for no reason.
unfamiliarity with this emotion makes me just want to punch myself in the head for myself thinking this way.
Never trust a white man,
Never kill a Jew,
Never sign a contract,
Never rent a pew.
Don’t enlist in armies;
Nor marry many wives;
Never write for magazines;
Never scratch your hives.
Always put paper on the seat,
Don’t believe in wars,
Keep yourself both clean and neat,
Never marry whores.
Never pay a blackmailer,
Never go to law,
Never trust a publisher,
Or you’ll sleep on straw.
All your friends will leave you
All your friends will die
So lead a clean and wholesome life
And join them in the sky.
Last night went way too quickly for me to savour every song, hug, drink and sip of alcohol. It may have been only a few hours, but that was definitely the highlight of my weekend.
Before crossing the velvet line, myself and beau ended up meeting up my legalized cousin & her sister for some Japanese cuisine at Kitanoya guu with Otokama*.Chatting it up by the bar, an amazing mix was made by our own server, Sumi. He was a club DJ in Japan before heading to Canada. We complimented his music and was smitten with the endless compliments; he plans on getting back into the music scene soon enough. After exchanging our fictional Japanese names (my own was SukiSuki) and indulging into deep fried brie, we head over to SHINE. But, for every friendly welcoming, there was an even more exciting exit: Synchronized, exhilarated shout of goodbyes & thank yous from every member of each staff and we were well on our way. (I will definitely be coming back!)
The abstract disco ball greeted us at the door as we descended to the dancefloor. Meeting old and new friends, we crank out our best moves to the tunes of Jazz, Rap & Michael Jackson. Old friends and new friends gathered for the birthday girl and things heated up in the club. Her guest list was bigger than some weddings! 150 guests were invited to celebrate the final day of her birthday week.
Sore feet, tired eyes & meeting old friends and making new ones. Yes, it was a good night.
* Kitanoya guu with Otokama has also won a golden plate award in 2006.

For those of you out there that must continue to sit in desks and yield to the authoritarian ideologies of instructors, do not be disheartened. You still have the opportunity to stand up, ask questions, be critical, and create your own perspective. Demand a setting that will provide you with intellectual capabilities that allow you to expand your mind instead of directing it. Demand that you be interested in class. Demand that the excuse, “You have to learn this for the test” is not good enough for you.Education is an excellent tool, if used properly, but focus more on learning rather than getting good grades.

I have to watch it again. I cannot fathom the intensity of the film in just one viewing.
