– Steven Brunt of The Globe and Mail, beautifully summing up what has become (after a disappointing start) an absolutely incredible Olympic games for Canada: 25 medals is the best ever performance in a Winter Olympics for the great white north (breaking the previous best total of 24 in Torino). 13...

Love thy Solemate
Many say that I don’t wear my heart on my sleeve. That’s because I wear them on my socks. I don’t think people understand the tenacity that love goes through. The wear and tear of what a pair of solemates do to each other everyday. This natural occurrence of friction can come from passionate-filled fights, or the dash towards eachothers’ arms. Sometimes, the new feeling...

A Conversation With Myself.
In comparison, women speak three times as much as men in a day, averaging about 20,000 words, utterances & vocable sounds that come out of our mouth. What do we pass along upon the sea of conversation between individuals? In life, when there are instances of joy, or glimmers or hope, we share that feeling with others. We show our emotion by the way we talk: The fast, quick pace of excitement...

So I’ve been dating a special kind of guy for the last year and a half. The kind of guy to send a card ‘just because’. The kind of guy who would drive an hour just to see you for a few minutes. The kind of guy who holds you that much longer in his arms because he doesn’t want to let go. The kind of guy who you talk to for hours at a time. The kind of guy who’s...

Time - Why Canada wants to kick Olympic Butt →
Watch out, world. They are coming after you, on skeleton sleds, speed skates and, oh yeah, while wielding big old curling brooms. They used to be the nice guys (and gals); now they’d rather leave you buried in the snow on a ski trail. They will no longer be embarrassed. Fellow biathletes and bobsledders, beware: the Canadian Olympic team is going to crush you.

It’s always scary to meet new people. I know plenty of people with big personalities who all of a sudden shrink up into a wilting wallflower around people they’ve never spoken to and become self conscious of every movement, action, blink. Funny how complete strangers can toil with a person with just a glance or a small reaction.
